I'd vote for Talleyrand, but I don't know what we'd write about him or how we'd divide up the work. Maybe comparison to Metternich or something about diplomacy during that time?
Maybe we can do European technology in general. After all, Scandanavians were texting in 1998. Technology = music, cars, gadgets, science, whatever. Anyone down?
